Canary Island Bare-Boat Yacht Charter Prices June 2022 to May 2023 from Marina Lanzarote just 15 minutes from Arrecife (ACE) airport.

Grab a cheap 4 hr flight to Arrecife (ACE) then a taxi from outside the airport and you can be at the marina base in under 15 minutes and still in the same time zone – but in 22’C in the middle of winter!
It is a fantastic starting location that allows you many options for your cruising ground. Either stay in relatively sheltered areas on one side of Lanzarote, do a complete circumnavigation experiencing both sides of the Island – or if the trade winds are blowing and you have time why not explore further afield and reach across to Tenerife and explore the other Islands. It is a brilliant location for a holiday, your sailing development,  or more extensive cruising / more challenging conditions for the the more experienced and confident sailors.

All yachts are modern and well equipped – we know them well. It is unusual for an agent to have such a detailed knowledge of the fleet of yachts and sailing area but we spend up to 3 months every year in the Canaries. We are very happy with the standards and maintenance. 

We also will organise the advance permissions for mooring at La Graciosa when you charter through us and can give you advice on which supermarket will deliver to the boat on a Saturday, where the closest / best / cheapest supermarkets are and how to get your major initial shop to the boat.

If you wish, at certain times of the year, we have several yachts that sail together ‘in company’.  You can join our ‘Mini Flotilla’ for a comfort feel joining us for a daily brief / debrief on sailing conditions and what to expect at any particular marina or port. (see prices below) and if we are in before you we will help with your lines. Just to let you know that the price you pay with us is the same that you pay if you book elsewhere. The difference is that we can give detailed advice on each yacht as our staff have sailed most of the fleet  and been aboard all of them. We know the best places to moor and we give advice on ports, where best to get your provisions from and the more obscure items such as whiteboards, fancy dress outfits, glitter and tools!

Minimum bare-boat sailing experience – Confident ‘Coastal Skipper Plus’ with VHF Radio License. Please discuss your sailing experience or supply a sailing CV. In the winter months the winds are lighter and can be more variable but you can always find good wind through some of the acceleration gaps. There are some places for shelter to anchor off in various locations so you can swim at lunch-time. Lanzarote is a ‘softer’ sailing area with less harsh acceleration zones than the other Canary Islands though it can be very windy in the summer and skipper and crew will need to be confident and well versed in reefing and strong wind sailing. You will also need a competent 1st Mate aboard if bare-boat charter. The plus side of course is that it is sunny and there is loads of help offered by the marinas when you moor up! If you are unsure of your experience level then speak to us. If in doubt take a Skipper to look after you and your group. We have UK based Skippers that know the area who will fly out and also local Skippers who speak Spanish / French as well as English.

Included in the below price are the obligatory extras. this includes all Mooring Fees, End-Cleaning &Gas. Berthing at Marinas includes electric and water, Dinghy plus Outboard Engine plus Fuel (or replace with a SUP) Any Baby/ Kids life jackets that are required, Bed sheets & Duvet, Towel set (small/large) p.p

Want to Skipper on the Canaries Flotilla Yourself? Need some advise and reassurance?

We can help. If you are minimum Coastal Skipper and have a radio licence you can bare-boat charter and act as Skipper on your own boat but you have the option to sail with us ‘in company’ joining our own itinerary for as much of the time as you wish. You have the option to join in the morning Skipper briefings, discuss with us the route, hazards, mooring detail and if we are in before you we are on hand / can take lines and help out when you moor in the evening. You simply pay a yacht supplement of as low as £150 for this service – on top of the charter fee indicated above.  It also includes various evening cockpit sun-downers with nibbles, a ready made social side of things, an opportunity to join in with group evening meals ashore plus briefings from the First Mate on facilities / places of interest for each port.

Private Yacht Charter with Your Own Skipper in Canary Islands? You can have your own skipper to help keep you safe on your own yacht. Determine the type of holiday / trip that you want to have. You can either enjoy intensive  coaching… or simply let the skipper sail you around. If you would like someone as First Mate, to help teach sailing and help with the catering this is not a problem. We will arrange the charter and supply the Skipper and Mate combination.
